Sexy Halloween and Cosplay of Wonder Woman

Nothing is more American than a Amazonian from Themyscira, I'm talking of none other than Wonder Woman! Who else in the comic book universe can a female character kick so much butt, and look as the quintessential stripper. No wonder she is such a popular character amongst cosplayers as well as one of the top Sexy Halloween costumes. Here we look at the various interpretations of Wonder Woman by cosplayers, and pass some remarks on what I think the real Wonder Woman should look like.

The Wonder Woman we have all come to know and love was created in December 1941; just as we entered WWII. She quickly went from taking care of of the luckiest man on the planet, Captain Steve Trevor, to fighting Nazi's once her backstory was more solid. I say he is the luckiest man in comic book lore since Wonder Woman was blessed by all the Gods making her "beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, stronger than Hercules, and swifter than Mercury". No wonder Themyscira's original name was "Paradise Island"!

After personally putting the beat down on the Third Reich, she later help in starting the Justice League, and started wearing her infamous jumpsuit.

However, some have only concentrated on the sexy side of Wonder Woman. You can usually see these cosplayers in front of a camera, because what is a comic convention without a sexy Wonder Woman.

All of these visions of that wondrous woman are nice, but I really think DC comics should really reboot the series into something more accurate. Have her actually look like a Amazonian, like they have in the Dragons Nest Game.

Instead of Gal Gadot play her they should get someone more tough. Don't get me wrong, Gal is a beautiful woman and a good actress. However, she doesn't look like someone who could take on a bunch of Nazi's let alone take on a thug in a dark alleyway. Just my opinion. The next two pictures show one really old school WW while the latter is more of the body type of a Amazon (without the muscle).

No matter what style you pick to cosplay, always remember this. Wonder Woman is always trumped by Rogue. Don't believe me, here is the sad truth.

So dress up as your favorite DC universe heroine at whatever comic convention you decide to cosplay at. Just make sure you stay far away from anyone looking like this:
